St Andrews Old Course and Kingsbarns Links both host top
tournaments and are “Must Plays.” The exciting new St Andrews Castle
Course will undoubtedly host a big tournament one day but to many the
intriguing courses on this Simply St Andrews Experience are The New
Course and Crail Balcomie Links. The New was in fact built in 1895 and
in many eyes is a better test than its illustrious neighbour and the
stunningly located Crail Golf Club was built also in 1895 by Old Tom
Morris. As far back as 1786 Golf in Crail was played at nearby
Sauchope Links making it the 7th Oldest Golfing Society in
the world.
